Career
Carlos has 27 years of professional experience as an environmental consultant in the areas of air pollution, cleaner production and handling of WEEE; technical director of the Responsible Care Program on integrated management systems, environmental auditor for the Andean Development Corporation, CAF, coordinator for nine years for the implementation in Colombia of the WEEE program in Colombia, and currently coordinator for Latin America of the Project “Strengthening national initiatives and improvement of cooperation for the environmentally sound management of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) in Latin American countries “of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Global Environmental Fund (GEF).

Assignments
In his main assignment Carlos is regional coordinator of the UNIDO/GEF Program “Strengthening of National  Initiatives and Enhancement of Regional Cooperation for the Environmentally Sound Management of POPs in Waste Electrical Electronic Equipment (WEEE) in Latin-American Countries”. On a part-time basis he works as technical expert of the ecopartner team.
